 Product Overview

The 2711P-RP2A is a discontinued logic module that belongs to the PanelView Plus Operator Terminals. This logic module may only be used with PanelView Plus 700, 1000, 1250 and 1500.

This logic module has an integral memory of 128 MB Flash Memory and 128 MB Random-Access Memory (RAM). PanelView Operator terminal are impossible to operate without this component thus. PanelView Plus 400 to 600 Logic modules are built-in while PanelView Plus 700 to 1500 Logic modules are built-in however, detachable and replaceable.

The 2711P-RP2A is a marine certified module and supplied by an input power of 100-240 VAC Voltage range. It has a power consumption of 160 VA.

Logic modules are attached at the back of the operator terminal hardware. It holds the communication ports and the memory insertion slot. It is also pre-installed with important software packages that allows execution of the downloaded project and remote access of the HMI window.

The communication options that is embedded within this component includes Serial Communication using 9-Pin Sub D connectors, Ethernet communication and USB ports. The embedded software packages include FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Runtime and FactoryTalk ViewPoint software.

Machine edition runtime allows the execution of the HMI project and provide the real-time interface and workspace for the operator while ViewPoint software is a component of FactoryTalk that enables access to the HMI’s window using a standard web browser. It is important to take note that ViewPoint only runs if the HMI terminal memory is 128 MB or greater and a Series E device. Downgrading the module may still allow operation of the terminal without the ViewPoint feature.
VIIIVThe 2711P-RP2A is a logic module for PanelView Plus 700-1500 Operator Terminals. It is an add-on module with Non-Volatile internal 64 MB Flash Memory and 64 MB Random Access Memory (RAM).
