Product Overview
The 2711P-RP2 is a logic module with internal128 MB Flash Memory and 128 MB for Random Access Memory. This module is used with PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE operator terminals. Logic modules are included with base configuration of PanelView Terminals. It provides the power supply terminal, network, serial and peripheral connection ports.
The 2711P-RP2 is found at the back of the operator terminal. It features One (1) Ethernet Communication Port, One (1) Serial communication terminal and Two (2) USB ports. 24VDC Power supply is used to energize this module including the entire PanelView terminal. This module has a Power Dissipation of 70W.
The logic module is attached to a specific slot of the operator terminal. It may only be used with PanelView Plus / PanelView Plus 6 700, 1000, 1250, 1500 operator terminals. When working with the logic modules, whether it is replacement or new installation, always prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) by touching a grounded object or wearing a ground strap. Never attempt to replace or open the module under power as this may create electrical arcs that may damage the module, the PanelView or both the device. If a communication module is attached, remove first the communication module to be followed by the logic module. To re-assemble the unit, install the modules in reverse order.
Non-Volatile Flash Memory and Random-Access Memory (RAM) are memory formats utilized by the PanelView terminal to perform specific functions. Generally, the flash memory is used to store files such as images, user manuals, reports, data logs and other files. The RAM memory contributes to the speed of response of the hardware including pop-up calls, screen switching, tag-update and animations.
