Product Overview
The 2711P-RP7 is an accessory module that functions as a Logic Module that is compatible with PanelView Plus CE terminals. This Logic module has an integrated 256 MB Flash Memory and 256 MB for Random Access Memory. It has built-in FactoryTalk ViewPoint software that allows viewing of the operator terminal in read-only mode via a standard web browser.
The 2711P-RP7 features One (1) Ethernet Communication Port that is used for network data exchange, One (1) Serial communication terminal for point-to-point communication and Two (2) USB ports for attaching external peripherals such as mouse, keyboard and printer interface. This logic module also houses the 24VDC Power supply terminal that is used to energize this module. It has a Power Dissipation of 70W.
This module is approved for operation in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, Class I, Zone 2, Group IIC, Class II, Division 2, Groups F, G, Class III and ordinary, nonhazardous locations.
Viewpoint is compatible with operator terminals that are part of series E later revisions with a minimum memory of 128 MB. Aside from this logic module, a CompactFlash card with FactoryTalk View Studio enables the same feature. FactoryTalk ViewPoint is an integral part of FactoryTalk View Studio.
When working with the logic modules, whether it is replacement or new installation, always prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) by touching a grounded object or wearing a ground strap. Never attempt to replace or open the module under power as this may create electrical arcs that may damage the module, the PanelView or both the device. If a communication module is attached, remove first the communication module to be followed by the logic module.
