Product Overview
The 1794-IM16 is a Flex IO module that features Sixteen (16) non-isolated discrete 240VAC input channels. This module is a DIN rail mounted hardware that may be used to interface field and signaling devices that working on the same 240VAC voltage category. It may be used with FlexLogix controllers 1794-L33 and L34 or partnered to any 1794 Flex IO adapter module to become part of a distributed IO application. Compatible terminal bases for 1794-TBN, 1794-TBNK.
Electrical specification for this module includes minimum and maximum on-state voltage of 159V AC and 264V AC with nominal On-state of 240V AC. For current On-state rating, minimum is 5.30 mA while maximum is 13.29 mA. On the other hand, Off-state voltage is 40V AC and Off-state current is 2.6 mA. Nominal input impedance and current are at the values of 22.2 k? and 11 mA @ 240V AC respectively. Isolation voltage is 250V continuous) Basic Insulation Type, field side to backplane Type tested at 1530V AC for 60 s. The channels do not have individual isolation.
This module requires a Flexbus Current amounting to 32 mA @ 5V DC and Power Dissipation of 6 W @ 264V AC and Thermal Dissipation of 20.47 BTU/hr @ 264V AC.
This module supports removal under power however, apply precaution as disconnecting or re-attaching the module when power is present may produce electrical arcs which may be harmful not only to the device itself but to the entire FlexBus and nearby modules as well. It is still highly recommended to do this activity when the module has no power applied. VIIIVThe 1794-IM16 is a Flex IO Sixteen (16) channel 240VAC input module. This module can be fitted with any 1794 Flex IO adapters to implement distributed I/O application.
