The 2711P-RDK15C is a display module that can be used to replace defective display components of colored screen and keypad input interface PanelView Plus operator terminals. This display module enables process visualization through the 15.0-inch colored screen with resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and display area of 304 x 228 mm (11.98 x 8.98).

PanelView Plus terminals including accessory items are discontinued products. Therefore, any product is a spare-part item.

PanelView Plus terminals are typically installed in the factory floor, leaving the component exposed to contaminants such as dust, dirt, oil, grease, paint and chemicals which may hinder clear view of the process. Maintenance cleaning may be performed with the component with the use of soft cloth or sponge. When cleaning, the terminal must be turned off. Using a soft cloth, gently wipe the screen with detergent or mild soap. With the use of a sponge, wipe the wet areas of the screen. For grease and paint contaminants, fresh paint and grease may be removed with the use of 70% solution isopropyl alcohol. Finish clean-up using mild soap or detergent and clean water may be used to rinse the solution. Anti-Glare overlay may be used to simplify cleaning of the display.

Upon start-up of the module, brightness is set at 50%. Depending on the installation location, adjust the brightness and contrast to fine tune display setting. This may be done through the Display terminal settings. Additionally, screen temperature may also be viewed in the same category setting as well as setting of screen saver.

Display module is responsible for the visualization capability of the PanelView Plus. It can be said that without this component, the whole operator terminal will not be useful as the operator will not be able to monitor and make control decisions based on what was displayed. For this reason, display modules are durable and provided with adjustments. Some of the adjustments that can be made to prolong the display module’s operation include brightness, screensaver, contrast as well as monitoring of display temperature. Often time, these adjustments are neglected. The display module is a modular component as well. It is paired to a backlight that is also replaceable. Most of the time, display module and backlight are the first components to malfunction due to high use. Display modules, especially touchscreen terminals may easily become defective by due to excessive actuation. The PanelView Plus terminals are designed for 110 g actuation force.
