 Product Overview

The 2711P-RDT7C is a display module that is used as a replacement accessory for PanelView 700 Color Terminals. It features a 6.5-inch colored screen with touch input area.

Display modules provide the process window and software interface to control the process. Maintenance is important as this component is critical part of the operation. In some situations, display modules may easily be mistaken as defective or non-functional. There are times that the backlight has dimmed which results to low visibility however, while dimming may be true, check first if the screen is in the correct settings. Contrast and Brightness are adjustable. By default, display modules are in 50% brightness. In the event of dimming, check these settings and manually adjust. Many do not know where to adjust these settings, but they are silently sitting under the configuration mode menu. Simply shutdown the runtime and access the terminal setting > configuration mode menu > display. It is also important to consider that backlight and display module are separate components. One may decide that the display module is the problem while it is really the backlight that is problematic. These may be tested with the use of the terminal settings provided with the terminal.

New display module may require calibration and tuning. To ensure proper operation, access the display settings in the configuration mode menu. Perform calibration method as shown in the screen.
