Product Overview
The 2711P-RDT12C is a PanelView Plus display module that features a 12.1-inch colored screen with resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and display area of 246 x 184 mm (9.69 x 7.25 in). This module is used with Touch Operated and Colored PanelView Terminal.
One of the important functions of this display module is to provide the visualization or monitoring interface to the process or machine. With visualization, a miniature copy of the process can be displayed. Display may be in the form of a flowchart, textual or a group of symbols and images that mimic the plant. Any of the mentioned ways of visualization, the operator uses the visualization as reference to the control action to perform.
Another equally important component is the operator interface. Without this feature, the terminal is simply a monitoring terminal and control is still implemented locally by accessing the actual field devices. Operator interface provides the interaction area where the operator can enter inputs or command to the process to start a sequence, energize a device, manipulate a data and many other functions. The designed input interface to this operator terminal is the embedded analog resistive touchscreen that is designed for 1 million actuations.
The display module are critical components of the PanelView Plus operator terminal. Maintenance may be accomplished by simply invoking the configuration mode menu > terminal settings > display. From there, display related settings may be manually adjusted including the screen calibration. Physical maintenance may be done by wiping the display module with soft cloth and mild cleaning solution. VIIIVThe 2711P-RDT12C is a display module compatible for use with PanelView Plus 1000.
